When Nabongo was 23 she was working as a pharmaceutical representative for Pfizer and realized she wanted more than the typical fruits of corporate labor. She decided to leave her job and move to Japan to teach English. That was her first time living abroad. She hasn't stopped traveling since.
She is the founder of Jet Black, a boutique travel firm that helps people journey beyond their daydreams and works with individuals, governments, and brands to encourage tourism throughout the Africa diaspora.
While running Jet Black she continues to lead a nomadic lifestyle, traveling the world and sharing stories on her blog, www.thecatchmeifyoucan.com.
She was raised in a Ugandan household in Detroit, Michigan.
