Teresa Myers Ervin

Mayor Teresa Myers Ervin began her public service career as a member of the Florence City Council in 2010. Over the next ten years, she served the community with dedication, working to improve the quality of life for all Florence residents. Her commitment to civic leadership and community development led to her historic election as Mayor of Florence, South Carolina, on November 3, 2020.

As Mayor, Teresa Myers Ervin continues to champion inclusive growth and neighborhood revitalization. She currently serves as the Chairwoman of the City of Florence Neighborhood Development Ad Hoc Committee, where she leads efforts to strengthen and enhance local communities.

She is also a voting member of the Florence Area Transportation Study (FLATS) Committee, contributing to long-term planning and decision-making for regional transportation infrastructure and mobility improvements.

In addition to her civic duties, Mayor Ervin is actively involved in public health initiatives as a member of the HopeHealth Board of Directors, supporting access to quality healthcare for the Florence area and beyond.
